Kodachrome is 24″x24″x1″. Kodachrome is made of 45 pieces of various wood including red oak, aspen and wenge. The body of the piece is raised off the background 1/4″. Each piece has been coated with 3 coats of gel varnish and buffed between each coat. Kodachrome was made to display in the ACE 40.8 Decatur, IN showing that had the theme Black and White. The name Kodachrome was chosen from a song of the same name by Paul Simon in which there is a line that says ‘everything looks worse in black and white’.
